While studying on campus still appears to be a far fetched dream for many international students, “The University of Nottingham” in the UK has paved the way for the first set of international students to resume their study at the University.
The veterinary students from the University are now back on campus to begin their study programmes. This appears to be the pioneers for how campuses across the UK could look as they reopen after the lockdown.
It’s believed that the 150 students who returned to campus will follow the “bubble” or “household” system as the University prefers, wherein a small group of students will live and study together. The principle behind this system is to restrict the spread of infection by keeping people in small groups which are kept separate from each other.
The students seemed excited and energetic towards the new approach and were glad to be back with their friends. They were not intimidated by the new restrictions and the safety precautions introduced. However, the social interaction is going to be minimal, claims the experts from the University. This initiative from The University of Nottingham has lifted the hopes of many international students to pursue their dream of studying abroad.
